Hi, I'm Paula.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a psychotherapist in private practice.
I have been working for years with those who suffer from disordered eating, food obsession, internalized weight stigma and body hatred.
I also work with clients who suffer more broadly from anxiety, relationship struggles, and the malaise that can result from living in a society that worships money, power, masculinity, and the intellect.
I work mainly with adults, members of the LGTBQIA+ community, young people, couples, and anyone hoping to make some truly lasting changes.
I am an Internal Family Systems-informed therapist.
My style integrates principles and practices of spiritual psychotherapy, holistic healing, mindfulness, relational therapy, and interpersonal work.
I also include concepts and teachings from my many years of studying Yoga, Eastern philosophy, spirituality in all its expressions,
and trainings in Reiki, energy work and psychic healing.
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I treat clients with a Body Justice-focused, weight neutral, anti-diet approach.
I am a member of The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, the National Association of Social Workers and the Association of Social Work Boards.
I am an Internal Family Systems informed practitioner.
I am proud to call myself a body justice activist and teach courses for professionals and at George Washington University about the myths of the U.S.'s measures of health, our culture's thin idealism, and society's relentless oppression of large bodies.
