I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a psychotherapist in private practice.
I have been working for over a decade with those who suffer from eating disorders, food obsession, exercise compulsion & body image issues. I also have experience & enjoy working with substance abuse & all addictions, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and problems stemming from self hate, fear, & low self worth. I have experience with young people, members of the LGTBQ community, aging adults, couples, anyone hoping to make some lasting changes.
I am proud to call myself a body image activist and teach courses at George Washington University on the myths of our current measures of health, our culture's deadly thin ideal, and society's bias against large bodies.
What I Do
I serve my group & individual clients with a positive & down-to earth approach.
I also provide private yoga, Reiki, & counseling sessions focusing on recovery from body hatred & freedom from compulsive eating.
In March 2017, I'll be facilitating another 'The Artist's Way" group.
